ASI builds upon Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), which is AI that can learn and adapt to a wide variety of tasks, similar to how humans think. While AGI is a versatile, highly capable form of intelligence, ASI would take it further, making decisions and performing tasks at a level far beyond human abilities. The potential impact of ASI could be transformative, reshaping economies, societies, and even the nature of human life.
